what does it make beer taste like?
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

    Chad-
Just changes taste..you'll need a different pill for the rest...
It is a protein called miraculin that blocks the sour taste buds, so everything bitter/hot/sour tastes sweet.
    The limes were amazing.

I read an article that some woman squeezed lemon into her Guinness..drank it down and said it tasted like a chocolate shake... :?

My co-workers and I actually set up a little flavor -tripping lunch last month...we used these:
    mberry1.jpg

Overall, the experience was pretty cool. It really changes your palate in a strange way. The tablets took a few minutes to dissolve and I would say it took about 5 minutes for it to begin to "kick in"...We tried all sorts of food..somethings changed more than others. My favorites were limes and grapefruit and most of my friends would agree. At one point I looked around and most of us were chomping into grapefruits that tasted like a sweet orange. My friend slathered her grapefruit with greek yogurt and claimed it tasted like a orange creamsicle :?
I also really enjoyed granny smith apples dipped in Frank's hot sauce.
The "trip" lasted a solid 45-55 minutes. We actually want to have a follow-up flavor tripping happy hour that involves Guinness and hot wings :D

Feel free to pm if you have any more questions :)

Thanks a lot i really appreciate the info. I'm excited to try it. Like you i enjoy checking out differnet things.
I can 't wait to check it out :)

so i went and did it last night and it was pretty cool. It was the actual berry and not a pill which i was happy about.
Odd stuff. My favorite was the lemon which tasted like delicious candy.
I had a Stone IPA and it tasted so odd.
Hot Sauce was weird because it would not burn on my tongue but i could feel it in my throat.
I ordered some kind of Pomegranite Lemon Drop that was awesoem while my tongue was upside down but the waiter suggested i save soem for when it wore off which i did and that was the nastiest drink i've ever had :D

The sour cream tasted like some kind of sweet cream

Pretty cool experience. I would do it again but i think i'd want to do it at home and try all kinds of stuff
