Me too. Melissa has been instructed to not let me get public sale tickets if I don't get lottery ones. That's my sign it was not meant to be. She's keeping me good

Isn't that kind of like letting the fox guard the hen house? or something like that?

    Actually it's 10 a.m. central

    good catch. sorry about that
  • I am so completely stoked about this! I live an hour from Memphis (used to live IN Memphis!) and had already got tickets for two shows in Florida. I considered for about 10 minutes if I was doing Memphis and then thought, "Well, hell yeah!" I think the only thing that could make things more awesome is if he scheduled a show for Nashville, too, since I'm two hours from Nashville.

Man, this will help with that weight loss plan since I'm spending the food budget on EV tickets! LOL!

Hoping for Nashville too! I am in Nashville and am still kicking myself for not doing the Nashville-Memphis back-to-back last time. Only 3 hours apart, its just silly not too!

Hoping for these Memphis tickets first!!!

Don't tempt me to organize this! I'm already doing both Tulsa ones, not sure I can do 3. ;)

My partners in crime are wanting to sit this one out. I 'might' be talked into helping organize, maybe. Grrr I love to do it, it's in my blood!
If someone local wants to do it, Melissa has offered local contacts that we contacted at the last Memphis party, and I will probably help. You might have to twist my arm.

Mindi, I think you guys deserve a break. Pre-party fund raising is lots of work, plus you guys have to travel, which makes it more difficult. In fact, I think it was kinda nice doing what we did in St. Louis for the PJ20 Premier - just get together and hang out (although we didn't have much time then). Or maybe we can just do a small raffle without a lot of set-up requirements - just some tickets and a few raffle items. Don't have to be a huge money raiser - maybe just add it to the Tulsa proceeds instead of finding a local donee who won't get that much if it is only a small fundraiser.

Hopefully someone will come forward and offer to organize. Or dammit, I may have to do it! And Mindi wants to par-tay! Not have to be all sober and responsible

I will be at Tulsa Night 2, looking forward to it. I actually have my parents road tripping to Tulsa 1 & 2, should be good. I would throw in to help organize, but I am on the road a bunch leading up to all of this. If just chilling and relaxing is good, I am on board with that. The Flying Saucer is right across the street from the Orpheum.

  • Sorry, I can't be of much help organizing. There's just no way I can get there any earlier that the afternoon of the show. I will help as much as I possibly can, though.

I always loved the Flying Saucer, but the last time we were there it had turned into a smoking bar. I think maybe smoking is barred in downtown Memphis unless you are a "cigar bar" or something like that. Sadly, that's what the Flying Saucer is now. But it has been a couple of years since we have been there. Maybe they changed.
