When I was a kid growing up I absolutely LOVED KISS! And Ace Frehley was a big reason why. I mean, how fucking cool was he? And he mentions Mike and his influence on him in this article.

He is definitely a cool dude!! I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it before on the boards, but my dad actually used to be friends with Ace when they were teenagers/young adults! They grew up together. My dad has told me some pretty neat stories, I've asked him about their friendship a lot. I just think that is the coolest thing!

Yeah, that is amazing that your Dad knew someone who became so famous later on in life. Even cooler that not only did he know him, he was friends with him! Wonder how he (Ace) would react if he caught up with your Dad these days?

I always wonder that too! My dad and Ace are older dudes by now, and who knows how Ace's memory of those days would hold up! But my dad says if he mentioned a few people and places that Ace would likely remember, at least a little bit!
