    You want to know what the issue with Israel is? It's that, despite the intellectual advancements made in our modern discourse re: some of the largest, yet most personal and meaningful political concepts in the last several decades, such as freedom, democracy, pluralism, human rights, etc, they only matter EXCEPT when it comes to Israel.     this sums it up perfectly. So many people just don't give a shit. Most people are ignorant on Israel and just know what politicians and the media tell them, Israel=good palestine=bad.

    the Sad part is so many on this board know the real story, but still don't give a shit.

    Strongly agree with the last two posters. For the most part, the Palestinians have absolutely no one but themselves to fight the nuclear armed war mongering state of israel. But when the least bit of recognition of their struggle is made, such as the boycott gesture made by cat power its a nice surprise and hopefully will strengthen the bds movement.

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure I would.

    Do you really think Cat Power not playing in Israel is going to help that mess out in anyway?

    One other question...why schedule it in the first place?
