Albums you've rediscovered

Do you ever not listen to an album for years and when you listen to it again realize how much better it is than you originally gave it credit for? For me that's Bad Religion's Recipe for Hate right now. Makes me want to go and discover their new stuff now.

Listened to it on vinyl the other day and my goodness every song was a number 1 hit I think.

So good....
Nice! I also really like Chemical City by him. First time I've ever heard anyone else know about his music!

those are all really great albums.
i've been listening to nothing but of montreal lately. i started listening to them around 2005, but i feel like i've just rediscovered the entire back catalog, including the more recent albums which sound even better to me than they did when they got me into of montreal in the first place. the new album is really great and inspired me to listen to the older stuff with a new set of ears. it's been fun and i'd strongly recommend it.
a couple years ago i got blood on the tracks/ the new york sessions version. i've had more of an appreciation for that album ever since...and that had already been a favorite of mine.
love rediscovering albums. usually if i see a band or a musician on tv in a bio or movie or something (and it's good) it tends to inspire me to listen to their music for the next day or two. usually the albums sounds better for those couple of days.
I have also rediscovered this. The song "How To Handle A Rope" is so killer.

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers-Damn The Torpedoes
UFO-Strangers In The Night
Torpedoes: One of those "every song is as good as the last, if not better" kinda records.
Strangers: What you hear is what you get. The 70's live record thing was all the shit, and from what I know this is one of the few honest "live" ones.
I love Sam Roberts. And there's more! I'm not even Canadian!
Of the two you mentioned, I guess I'm partial to We Were Born in a Flame. The first Sam Roberts song I ever heard was Brother Down, and it's on there...so it will always be my sentimental favorite. And that song and Where Have All The Good People Gone? are still in pretty high rotation for me.
Sam is great...even though I'll prolly never get to see them live. :(
As for me rediscovering music lately...will, I've been pretty obsessed with Van Halen lately, since their new album is so awesome. I put it in iTunes...so when I play A Different Kind of Truth, I also end up playing others of their albums...some of which I've not listened to in a while. Nice to hear some of these old songs again!
Forgot how awesome that album was and can't believe the show I went to was nearly a year ago!
Rediscovered some Jack Johnson recently as well. Hadn't listened to him in a while.
