Hi, cheeks! I hope you're doing well these days.

I like this introspective topic...makes me take stock (moreso than usual).

Mine are...well, let's see now.

For one, time. Its passage - or sometimes seemingly lack thereof - makes me notice how inconsequential I am to the whole process - it just happens.

I find it comforting. It heals.

Mornings, too. No matter if greeted by a spectacular sunrise or gloom, it's my time for quiet, and introspection. MY time. When I don't have it, I get cranky and feel claustrophobic.

Danny. Without him, this life of mine would not be...this life of mine. Blessings counted every day.

And oh yes, MUSIC. One of my few saving graces...gets right into all my soft and hard spots.

Like time, it heals too

Hey girl, long time no see

hope you are doing well. I've been introspective as of late, nightmares and sad moments replaying wakes me up most nights, so trying to get myself tired enough tonite!

Music is definitely a constant...no matter where I am, physically or emotionally, it's always there.

I keep trying to make a list of things I can rely on- family, friends, love, life, music/writing/art -and I really do feel that way but many of those things have changed in my life. And then I think- well, the only things I can truly rely on is that things change and and one day I will die... and then I think- no, that sounds too gloomy-- and that thought reminded me of those great lines- "I know I was born and I know that I'll die/The in between is mine"...

But in the end it's Love Boat Captain:

"And there's just one word that I still believe and it's
Love,... love. love. love. love."
