Bummer. I thought Mellon Collie would be the priority right now.

why would he do mellon collie before pisces. i'm looking forward to the binaural reissue but i know that won't happen until no code and yield come out.

the aeroplane flies high reissue is really what i'm looking forward to. probably will be the only one i put money toward.
  • i wonder what could be planned for the aeroplane flies high set... it would be cool to have a vinyl set of that, though i can see it being pretty expensive. siamese dream already sounded great, how does the reissue sound?

If memory serves, he did tweet that there would be an Aeroplane vinyl set reissue. That was several months back though. Would be awesome if that happens!

Because I would like to see it released before a B-Sides and outtakes compilation album. If you wanted to do it chronologically than it makes sense to have pisces first, sure.

Edit: I'm sure most Pumpkins fans would agree with me.
  • The Siamese Dream remaster is, well, dreamy. It is far superior to the original release. It's not just remastered; a bit of remixing happened as well. It's isn't louder in the brick wall sense-it still sounds lovely-there's more detail in the music; little bits you can't hear on the orignal issue. It is well worth buying. You don't need fancy hi-fi gear to hear the difference, either. I ripped my bought CD to 320kbps mp3's for my iPod, and I can STILL hear the differences between the new and old releases, and I used a pair of cheap Sony headphones, too. If I can hear the differences using that equipment, it must sound fucking MAGNIFICENT on quality gear.

  • Oooooh, Pisces... is going to have a new mix of Glynis on it. I wondered why it didn't make the Siamese Dream bonus disc. I love that song. One of my favourites. It's on some benefit album I bought in the mid-90's. Wonderful, wonderful, track.

This will definitely be purchased. After buying the SP vinyl re-release, I couldn't be any happier with it. It sucks because it's just means more money that must be spent on stuff I think I HAVE to own. :D

well that's what he's doing. thought this was common knowledge. and while yes,a b-sides/outtakes comp, i think pisces is a little more revered in the pumpkins canon than just as an odd-and-sods collection of material.

    are you really sure

    Yep.

Didn't know he was releasing them in order. I guess I'm not in the loop.

Agreed. Great song, cant wait to hear it. Its from the "No Alternative" cd.

That's the one. I still have it in Australia in storage. Think it had a blue cover. And maybe a Nirvana track on it, too. And I seem to recall a Matthew Sweet for some reason, too. Anyway, Glynis, fuck yeah!

Yeah, Glynnis is great but the vocals are just about drowned out by the bass on a system with a decent low end. Still need to get that Siamese Dream re-issue.

Maybe the new mix will deal with that issue.
