You know, we might stay downtown this time, I've never stayed there and I'm actually starting to like it better than the strip. I definitely do more gambling there. Also considering renting a car and staying at the Silverton, it's a pretty cool casino in North Las Vegas and is offering a free night to out-of-staters!

Never been to the SIlverton. Have you checked out the Green Valley Ranch? Very nice and the pool is killer.

we went there last summer & had a blast. we stayed at the Tropicana & their rates were amazing b/c they were renovating part of the hotel. not sure if they're still renovating, but it might be worth looking into if anyone's looking for a place to stay.

we booked a Club Deluxe room, but they upgraded us for free to a Club Suite. :)

I've been to GVR a couple of times. The actual gaming area is a little on the small side to be honest. It's got all of the games, don't get me wrong, but it's more comparable in size to say Treasure Island vs. MGM. Food is top notch. The pool is wonderful. They have a lot of spa type shit. It's the kind of place designed to pretty much relax a person and keep them there. I don't remember if they have any clubs or not.

Every time I see this thread, I think of the time I was in Vegas, riding the bus back to the hotel and the little girl in front of me blowing chunks everywhere.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

    eww.....

it makes me think of when we were walking down the Strip with people slapping the peep show brochures. i was holding my wife's hand....we're both wearing rings. this should say that we aren't interested, right? they would hound us "live girls! boobs! cheap drinks! more boobs!" it was a little strange

I was walking down the strip with the girls, and they guys would hide the cards behind their back...I asked for a card, and the guy wouldn't give me one, I said, "How do you know I'm not into girls?!? I want a card!"

he gave me the stink eye and the girls laughed.

I wouldn't mind being here every day. Over/under on how many days I would survive? I'd give it 52.
