I've always gotten great seats through 10club for Eddie's solo shows.

I went to the LA show, and was literally against the back wall of the far right balcony (although the centre balcony went further back). I had car problems and only got there just after Eddie had started. I think the 10C window might have closed if I was any later. It made me wonder whether they had left the worst seats for late arrivals or no-shows.

Both times I got 10c seats for EV solo shows they were dead center, about 15 rows back. I was pleased.

Massey Hall Night 1 2008: 15th row - closest I've ever gotten in any PJ related show (although I had first row on the side in Albany 06' for PJ - but there was such a big gap with a walkway and equipment etc it was easily 15 rows worth of space to the stage)

Beacon Night 1 2011: 33rd row orchestra left and other 10c friends had first row of the top balcony, center. I remember picking up the tickets and freaking out thinking I got 8th row...but the rows started with double letters, ie: AA, BB, CC ...and I had row G. But it was still great - like everyone has already said, really not a bad spot in these smaller venues.

I'd also say that the city and venue definitely play a role in how good your chances are for really good seats. 10c does fight to get the best seats they can, but they are looking for quantity as well given the small size of these places. They go up against season ticket holders and other tickets given out for promotional purposes etc which vary from place to place. Someone said Ed has family in FL? Maybe he takes a nice big block of seats for a FL show to give to family and friends...that could undoubtedly put a dent in the ticket pool. My bet is more people will land really good seats in places like Jacksonville and Tulsa than in Vegas and Orlando. Again we know it's mixed throughout, but I'm sure the 10c has better luck in some places acquiring more and/or better tickets than others.

I feel the same way. I think those of us in the south, particularly Florida, will be pleasantly surprised. One thing I noticed is that none of the boxes at the Jacksonville Theater are available anywhere. Having been to this theater before, I can attest that these are primo seats and for nothing to be available on the resale market is a good sign for 10C members. Nor is anything available in row 1 plus the fact that there is extremely limited availability in the first 10-20 rows. My suggestion is to go to the resale sites and look for patterns of sections/areas closeup that are not available. These missing areas are fan club areas. Also, I can't back this up but I have seen enough evidence on this board to convince me that showing up early can only benefit your chances of an upgrade in seats. It's worth it, too..I've seen Glen Hansard 3 times times now and he is an amazing Irish storyteller and an even better musician. This is an opening act you CANNOT miss!!

I had a friend sign up on the day of the deadline and pull 6th row for his Australia Tour last year. I had another friend who had only been a member for 1 year and he jagged 2nd row for the show in Sydney. So have faith

We were in the same area! You may recall Ed going off setlist and playing Just Breathe. My wife made that happen from all the way up there. :D
