Anyone been to Mt Rushmore?

....I am contemplating a drive there in March to check that out and the Black Hills....worth it? Just curious...I like road trips and history so was just curious

    YES YES YES!!! Mt. Rushmore is really amazing. The blackhills are beautiful. Be sure to stop in Sturgis, and there is no way you can miss Wall Drug. If you are out there, you should make sure to take some time in the Badlands. It is like being on the moon. Or the floor of the ocean. There is nothing like it. That area of South Dakota is one of my favorite parts of the country, and one of my favortie road trip stops. i hope you go!! :D

  • Beautiful landscapes and many awesome national parks.
    Stay away from the low budget hotels which attract meth addicts and dealers.
    Dealers will literally knock on your hotel room door to move that crap.
    The addicts are desperate and can become violent
  • If you can camp the Badlands (away from the crack dealers) is most magnificent to watch the sunrise/sunset upon them. Although for you, March might be a bit cold to camp then.

    YES! took a road trip there for the 4th of july fireworks. I think it was in 01 or 02? I was about 11 so I remember playing alot of gameboy on the road trip over.

    Its definitely worth it and you have to hit Crazy Horse too
