Just downloaded this, 2 discs of versions throughout Neil's life...what a song. Didn't know he did these acoustic renditions and even still they are all different, some with harmonicas, some without..

You can find it on Dimeadozen or if there are enough people interested I'll upload it.

Haven't listened to an acoustic Cortez in a loong time. Made me put on the Hamburg 2003 version. Killer indeed.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

    Interested in the acoustic versions.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

Are the acoustic versions from the solo Harvest Moon tour? I'd love to hear it!

Whoa! That sounds amazing -- like a vertical wine tasting!

I've collected "All Along the Watchtowers" my whole life, have a gazillion versions studio, live, bootlegs -- have written many a short story based on the song. Freakin' wigged when PJ dropped it in '06 at SFIII! And needless to say, again when Dave Matthews invited Marcus Mumford up on stage at the Bridge last year and f'n blew my mind... One of my favs now!

Cortez I've started to collect when I stumbled upon Mathew Sweet's version, he lays it down proud! And yeah, Dave did it with Neil at the Bridge few years (wait, 06?) ago! Hope that's in the collection!
    [sic] happens
