Listened to it on the way to work. Made me want to kill myself, in a good way.

Ha ha, I love the feeling you get listening to Leonard Cohen. I was listening to The Partisan walking to work this morning and it's hard to smile sometimes... :D

I would still love to see him live to complete my singer-songwriter holy Grail with Nick Cave and Tom Waits.

I can't wait to get this album!

It always surprises me when people, music lovers have no clue who Leonard Cohen is.

I'll be getting this on Saturday when I can make it to my local record store. :)
    Peace, Love.

  • Not a massive Cohen fan despite growing up listening to him but this album's OK. I liked the first and last track especially.

Glad there are props here for LC!

I first heard his music on the "I'm Your Fan" tribute album.....REM, Echo/Bunnymen,Nick Cave, Frank Black, etc. all had songs on the album, so my first taste was via covers of his songs.

We saw him twice on his most recent tour. Once in Los Angeles around the time of his Coachella performance, and then in December 2010 in Oakland. It was once of the most intense concert experiences of my life. He plays for over 3 hours, and he is quite the showman. He can switch the vibe of his shows from happy to dark to sad at the drop of a hat ;)
