There's a reason it was only $10 (I'm surprised you even had to pay that), it sucks. The Director's Cut that is. Walter Hill butchered it 10X worse than what George Lucas did to the Star Wars movies. He said he always envisioned it as a comic book movie, so in the Directors cut he went back and added all these comic book panels. A scene will freeze, then turn into a comic book drawing complete with stupid bubble caption, then go down a few panels to another comic book drawing which will turn into the next scene. It is so unbelievably stupid and completely ruins the movie and the tone of it.

What you want is the original 2001 DVD that is just the movie as most people know it.

There are no extra scenes or anything like that if it's what you're asking. Just crappily edited to look like a comic book. There is a narrated intro that's added which talks about Ancient Greeks, but it's stupid and unnecessary like all the other changes.
