thefin190---can you meet someone at the venue? that's the only way since you'll have to pick up the tickets.

Well that sucks that people who wanted the FL tickets didn't get any , they should sell to the home crowd 1st that's the only thing i would add to the new ticket system and then sell to the people from out of state ....

It's OK, I was expecting poo to be flung at me for admitting this on the board.

At this point, I am going to make the trip to Ft. Lauderdale, there's no other way around it. I guess I should've added a little background. From age 7 years old to 15 years old, I lived in Ft. Lauderdale (not a suburb, in Ft. Lauderdale). I moved here to Washington when I was 15 and lived here since then. My father, who moved us up here to Washington, hated it here so he moved back to Ft. Lauderdale after I graduated high school and moved out. So I will plan to visit and stay with my dad around this time, which was my original thought process when adding my name to the drawing. I thought, how cool is it that Eddie Vedder is playing at this venue that I probably went to on school field trips and skateboarded by many times during my youth. But then after I got the tickets, reality sunk in, and I had to think about the logistics of missing time at work, my girlfriend or friend possibly joining me, etc.

At this point, I'm going to go since there is no other option. Like I said, I do feel bad that I am taking a place of other local Ten Clubbers, especially since I already saw Eddie at Benaroya Hall last year. I wish you all the best of luck trying to get tickets through TicketMaster. I hope to see you all at the show!

Well If you're coming then everything is good :thumbup: I don't mind people "taking away" seats from locals as long as they come, I was at Benaroya last year to see Ed with 10c tickets, so I took some local their seats too awesome man also your dad will be more than happy for your decision

exactly, and I wasn't trying to be a bitch, it's just if he didn't think it through, he shouldn't have tried for the lottery that is all. I'm the nicest person you'll ever meet, I just felt that thefin possibly losing out on the tickets and them not being used at all totally sucked for those who got shut out. And I said as much.
But i'm glad you're able to go now and I hope you have a blast.

Impulse purchases for Snickers bars or Nutter Butter cookies at the check-out counter at the super market... okay. Concert tickets that involve trips across the country, requiring airports, TSA, carry-on luggage, vacation days, hotel rooms, ground transportation, take-out or dine-in food, credit cards and financial implications that result in further debt and everything that goes along with it... maybe requires a little more forethought before committing to it.

No one is shut out yet. The public sale tickets last year were just as good and sometimes better than 10C tickets. Don't be too down if you got shut out of the lottery. There is still a chance.
