    P.S. Downtown Radission is a good mid-price hotel in prime A+ Austin location. Probably 2 to 2.5 miles from Bass Hall ($6 cab ride).

    I'll be in Austin, Dallas & Houston :) Got the email that I was drawn for Austin tickets today :) I'll have to try hard for the public sale of the other two shows on Friday! Best of Luck to everyone buying tickets Friday!!

    I'm looking for something close by as well. Might be interested in splitting a room. My brother was initially into the idea of going to the show but may have cooled on it.

    Lots of good Mexican food joints close by, too. El Chile, Vivo, Mi Madres...all just a 5 minute drive from the Venue. Texas Chili Parlor is also a good possibility for pre-game....great margaritas and of course, chili.

    Looking sooooo forward not just for Eddie but the town!! I have always wished to go to Austin City Limits (the festival). Can't wait!!

    tips for Austin show from long time Austinite...

    The show is technically on campus of The University of Texas at Austin in case you all haven't figured that out yet...so parking is a bit tricky around campus..get there early but DO NOT PARK IN AREA THAT REQUIRES PARKING PERMIT..easy way to get a $35 UT parking ticket..(that money could be better spent at the merch booth)..Crown and Anchor is a good pub pre show place but I highly recommend Trudy's Tex/ Mex on Guadalupe St. & 30th (409 W 30th St, Austin, TX 78705) which is 1.5 miles from the venue. The food is amazing and the Mexican Martini's are the best in town....http://www.trudys.com/trudys-central.php

    A cool and inexpensive place to stay in the south congress area is Austin Motel...very "Austin" prices are reasonable...http://www.austinmotel.com/

    Will be coming from Calgary, Alberta, Canada! Can't wait!

    Also looking forward to the SRV statue, a definite stop the afternoon of the show. Might purchase a new euke and play some tunes in the park if anyone cares to join. i'm sure some Eddie songs will be played...
