erocshifty wrote:the south american shows are KILLING it for me! i just ordered BA, got the first 3 last week & with the exception of hamilton, in my humble opinion, this leg was spot on! LOVE the full on ENERGY going back & forth between band & crowd. i can't wait for BA to get here. the 1st night in sao paulo may have been a little weaker than the second night & rio, but it was still waaaayyyyy up there for me. i need to get down there to see a show. reading jeff's post about BA has got me super pumped. i think the canadian shows were great as well, but the band really hit their stride in SA! yes, all covers were included as far as i can tell. mother sounded soooo much better than the jimmy fallon performance.
You can get comfort, easy access, souvenirs, transportation, good venues and everything else for a perfect technical setup for a gig in the U.S. and Europe.
But you ONLY get these incredible singing alongs, these amazing vocalizations of the guitar's riffs, the loud passion and participation of the crowd in South America, even though gigs around here in general lack everything else mentioned in some level...
Every rocker in the world must try it at least once in a lifetime. :Pjust because you breathe it doesn't mean you're alive...0 -
veddertown wrote:Downloaded Rio yesterday and listened to it today. Good gig but not as amazing as I expected going from the fanviews. I bet it was great to be there though. Mother was so much better with the huge audience compared to the Fallon version which was already great. I love Mike's solo!! The opening 11 songs Unthought Known > Immortality is an immense start to the show but The Fixer kills it a little for me, it just doesn't stand up well besides the classics although it's fun enough when you're jumping around at a gig. Just finished downloading Buenos Aires which I know will make for a great day at work tomorrow!!
