Deep breath and a sigh
Squinty eyed smile lit by
Mornings sun
Fresh cup and a steamed vanity
Falling leaves dance with
the cool breeze
Smells of fresh lumber and the
echo of hammers speak of
tales to be
The sun tells my neck lunch is near Just a sip...maybe two
The tingle sweats through
Quips with Joe and a pint to go
An eager welcome to a concealed breath
Cold beer and freed feet
Eyes closed by clutter
Thoughts shaken like champaign
She begs for her lover
Thirst begs for a friend
A path undefeated
All alone in an empty room full of hearts
