Alice in Chains We Die Young / Facelife Promo Question

Hey guys, have an opportunity to buy an Alice in Chains We Die Young Promo. The unique thing is that its actually a white label promo of Facelift thats in the jacket. Does anyone know about this release? Was it just a mix up from the seller or is this actually a rare AIC facelift promo that was sold in a We Die Young Promo sleve?

I think it's a case of the wrong disc in the wrong sleeve.
However, if it's the We Die Young EP, get it anyway. What are the b-sides? If it's the one with Killing Yourself on it, it's pretty rare, even without the correct sleeve.

What is really strange is that there is a sticker on it that says FACELIFT the Debut Album from Alice in Chains. I grabbed it today, what the hell, its pretty cool. This is the only thing I could find on it

Also, I did not buy it from ebay, I bought it from a local record store I deal with frequently.

Up for grabs is a great ORIGINAL PROMO press of a classic grunge era lp with a really weird misprint cover. Apparently, COLUMBIA pressed a bunch of copies of ALICE IN CHAINS lp FACELIFT and put them inside this WE DIE YOUNG 12" sleeve. To rectify this, a sticker was simply put on the 12" sleeve stating "CONTAINS FACELIFT THE DEBUT ALBUM BY ALICE IN CHAINS." However, the WE DIE YOUNG 12" DOES NOT come with this release. Probably a bit confusing to fans (and you out there too).So, this is a WHITE LABEL PROMO copy of ALICE IN CHAINS lp FACELIFT (COLUMBIA CAS 2192) intentionally placed in the wrong 12" WE DIE YOUNG sleeve!
JACKET IS IN VG CONDITION; HAS "CONTAINS FACELIFT" STICKER ON FRONT OF JACKET, MINOR TO MODERATE CORNER DINGS/CREASING, SCUFFS, SOME WROTE "WCCM 10/14/90" IN BALL POINT PEN ON FRONT OF JACKET (VERY FAINT), FAINT RINGWEAR FRONT/BACK OF JACKET.
VINYL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION; A FEW INCREDIBLE FAINT RUB MARKS/STREAKS THAT DON'T REALLY AFFECT PLAY. SUPER CLEAN/SHINY VINYL! LOOKS/PLAYS GREAT!
AN UNSUAL RARITY TO SAY THE LEAST!

hey, that's was really insteresting, how could they make such a mistake? it's weird, anyway, thanks for posting that info, in fact, I was thinking of that website today but I couldn't remember its name, thanks... now, you go and search for the we die young single, in case you don't have it already, hope you enjoy your new wax, great album, great band, and yes indeed, now we know the whole story, it's pretty cool an item... congrats!!!!

Thanks man, the mix of we die young sounds pretty raw. Maybe it was just hearing it on vinyl for the first time, I'm not sure. Its a cool find to say the least.
