Pearl Jam in Australia 2012 or not?

Now I read Soundgarden are going to tour again for their new album and be back in Australia end of 2012...

So will Pearl Jam back on to it and Matt hang around, or will we not see PJ this year?

    It does not seem like 3 yrs since PJ were here in Oz. And nearly a year ago since we saw Ed@Newcastle, We look forward to them returning here again soon. But please not a "Stadium" and not in Summer. :)

    2012... sooner is always better. Plus am far too broke/busy to go o/s to see them 2012, maybe I'll be rich in a years time/can always hope

    There would have to be some U.S shows surely... and then each band is due for a new album... I think we are going to miss out this year... :(

    where di you read that SG are coming back again this year?

    Great news!

    There set at BDO Gold Coast was great and all but it was too short for a band like them

    ...not to mention the noisy soundcheck from the other stage...

    seen them in 06, then in 09, i hope they keep there 3 year pattern cannot wait another year to see the jam again :( but 'fanofed' seeing pearl jam in an open stadium was amazing even though i was in the pit on a 45 degree day hahaha but i would do the exact same thing again for that show :D PEARL JAM AUS TOUR NOV 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Same as me - I also thought the 09 stadium concert on that stifling hot day was better than the sterile arena gig in 06. May have had something to do with all the great fans around me too, we all had a great rock out. I was in the 2nd section behind the pit, behind the safety barriers. Security was the best I've ever experienced, handing out cups of cold water constantly, and always on the lookout for trouble (none) or ill fans (only a few who were dehydrated). Despite EV's flu, it was memorable.

    Well this appears to clear up that PJ won't tour Oz until 2013 as I can't see both SG & PJ making it down under late on in the year, but perhaps they could as MC seems to be happy to tour hard!

    As for the US, I can't see them not touring there this year, my best guess would be late summer after the PJ Euro tour, Aug/Sept, perhaps even going into October with SG touring Oz in November.

    Because it wasn't. They were there about two years ago. They've played Oz more recently than Seattle.

    i meant by three years, that if they play in november it would be three years from when they were here last :)

    I don't see them being here this year, 2013 if we are lucky. I also don't believe soundgarden will be back this year. I saw the interview and all Chris says is they hope to be back after the new album is released. I hope they get back here soon, the 3 sg shows I saw were not enough.

    Considering soundgarden and pearl jam actually share the tour crew, we can assume that they will tour back to back. They are touring back to back in Europe later this year so if soundgarden do come back this year pj would definitely follow right after.

    Ok, you're smart. Hadn't even occurred to me that a SG tour good be a positive thing in terms of seeing PJ. God Matt works (tours) hard

    Haha my mate worked with the soundgarden crew in Sydney and they said they work for both bands. So I thought that was cool.

    There could even be more chance of temple of the dog reunions :D

    Need my Pearl Jam fix!

    Would have been so good if Pearl Jam could have come with Soundgarden to BDO, then it could have been the Soundgarden/Pearl Jam/Temple of the Dog show :D All of my dreams would have come true!
