    The Penguins and Caps are going to improve....who drops out so they get in? NJ? I would guess that is your hope if you are pulling for the Leafs.

    Yes, I think they are entering their mid-year losing phase, but I also think this will be the year they make it--someway, somehow... it's just been too long!

    as much as they are improved there is still a long way to go. no playoffs this year unless burke pulls off some kind of steal like he made for lupul. so go drink some faithful ale (i have 3) and hope.

    Leafs could push Jersey out - they're not that far behind.

    Wash could improve - as could Pitts - but both.... - I'm not convinced.

    FLA is doing a nose-dive - understandably - so - they could fall right out.

    Ottawa - come on - no one saw this coming - and if they only won 5 more games this year - they'd finish just where they should - and no one would be surprised. This of course likely won't happen.

    Good luck on your Leafs. I dont like Panthers so I hope you steal it. Hockey is more fun when the Canadian teams are good!

    You don't have to be a Leafs fan to be OK in my books - but really - why wouldn't you want to be a Leafs fan?

    I do however just love it when I see and hear people in the US who love hockey - especially as far south as CA. Wonderful.

    I actually grew up in VT so hockey is still huge there.
    There are a lot of die hards here but they fell in love with Gretzky.
    Most couldn't tell you a list of the Original Six or who Grapes is or what HNIC is but they do get behind their teams and they do understand the game itself.

    been playing college basketball lately. I use cbsports.com/picks for help. great odd for tie games.
