I am not a fan of Mahomes. I hate the Eagles (Giants fan). But I thoroughly enjoyed that super bowl. That Philly D line owned that game. And the halftime show was not good. The dude can rap and he is good at it, but it was like one long song that went one for too long.
Like a Dead & Co. show.  One long song...

Kendrick Lamar did nothing for me, but I will say this... it felt more like the rap I liked in the '90s than so much of what passes for hip-hop these days with the auto-tune and just talking over music.

I literally first saw a TV when the clock said 15:00 in the first quarter, so I (thankfully) missed Tiny Hands, altogether.

questions: did Fox make a big deal of it; was there booing :prayer: and did he leave early?
If I had known then what I know now...

Thats why I like Kendrick Lamar (in passing).  My exposure was an NCAA National Championship and this halftime show.  Both IMO were good.  I enjoyed that halftime show much more than most others.

Showed him once, to many cheers, showed tay tay once, to many boos. Which tiny hands then trolled her with online after the game.

Love that a 12 year old is president.

They briefly showed him during the anthem, and there was a very noticeable reaction (considering the crowd was otherwise silent for the performance, the reaction stood out). It was definitely a mix of boos & cheers... I thought there were more boos, but these days people hear what they want to hear and I'm no different... IDK what was louder. I didn't rewind to hear it again, I just wanted to watch football.

I just don't know how the NFL signed off on that performance. Maybe that's why they took the 'End Racism' out of the endzones, and said "ok, we'll placate you but now you get the metaphors hammered over your head" lol

Sam Jackson in an Uncle Sam get up making commentary saying "don't be too ghetto", all the while people dressed up in the American flag bending over to make the metaphor that this country was literally built on the backs of Black people, Serena fucking Williams dancing on a pole to a song crushing Drake (while also finding out she used to date him). So much Ice T  Hater's Ball hate hate hate in the performance and I couldn't get enough of it. On an amazing night where Taylor Swift gets booed and Bradley Cooper gets the whole stadium doing an E-A-G-L-E-S chant which was bonkers. Just soooo fucking good.

At least the noodling keeps you interested. The rapping needed a show to go with it.

I really don't know all of it, and honestly don't really care. They went back and forth releasing diss tracks, as the kids say, but then Kendrick dropped "Not Like Us". Which I'm not even sure how it's a pop song. But I implore you to read the lyrics. It's insane how much he abuses Drake in the song lol. I told everyone at our party to put the captions on for the halftime show so everyone got the lyrics lol

Like Drake must be dead now, there's no returning from the way Kendrick crushed him in this song.

Kinda pathetic Mahomes racking up garbage time stats. As his hero in the stands would say: SAD

Why?  What was he supposed to do, just stop playing?
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

Alright I've gotten pretty beat up over this. Fine, he did great in garbage time.

Maybe we'll play another one GKC. :)

It has nothing to do with sucking or playing well at that point.  It's just continuing to compete. I'm glad to see him and the team kept "trying" until the end.

As far as a potential rubber match, I hope so.  This won't be Philly's last Super Bowl.  They're built to get back for the next several years. This will be a very interesting off-season for KC.  Some key rookie contracts are up (Bolton, Smith) and one-year deals (Brown, Humphries).  They've got work to do to try to get back.

They have some roster building to do and they won't repeat their close game luck from this year, but Mahomes is too good not to get back at some point.
