since we are petitioning for almost everything, why not a petition to the band and 10C to allow MOV to repress benny for posterity...

The only chance of getting this back on vinyl would be the Binaural/Riot Act re-realese.

I think there is a greater chance of them playing a new accoustic show and realese that than re-realesing Benny.

I don't think Lost Dogs, Benny and RVM will receive reissue treatment because they are compilations... I don't think that there will be another Lost Dogs kinda album either...

I agree. BUt Benny could be put in the superdeluxebox if they don't have another show to include.

And RVM I guess would have potential for some time as a greatest hits album to sell vinyl copies? But whatever, I don't see why they would re-realese it or Lost Dogs.

    Or Benny.

I have never listened to Benny. I hear that it sounds amazing on vinyl, so I wont listen to it until I have a vinyl copy.

The difference between the cd and vinyl should be fairly minimal.

It is minimal. People obsess about the word Benny, that's all. Not worth the $700 or $800 to keep a Benny hanging around. I would love to get a reissue though :)

I would love this. Always wanted a Benny without paying the outrageous prices

I got his email from MOV seeing if there's an update on this situation:

    Hi Dylan,
    No update yet.
It is a very much requested title but as it is a TenClub Only Release it's
    difficult to release this one.
As you know Pearl Jam wants to keep their fans happy and exclusive most of
the times really means exclusive. That's the great bands policy ;)
Thanks again for your request. And we'll keep on working on it.
    Have a great weekend!!
    Cheers,
    Bram

benny is cool, but I only listened to it at the time, it's been a long while since I played the cd... though 35 USD for a 4LP set was pretty cool... I remember paying 16 USD for Avocado vinyl... time will tell...

Not sure a 2nd pressing would make the first pressings lower in price.

But you'd get a lot of people who wouldn't mind having a second pressing and therefore wouldn't have to pay insane prices for a first pressing.

In theory, you wouldn't have as many people bidding on the first pressing. Eventually, I think those first pressing prices would go down.
