Fuck yeah! I was hoping it'd be Glen (or Liam... they're both great). This is gonna be awesome....

Hoping it's a test run for PJ tour too... maybe not in 2012 to markets they've ignored for much of a decade, but even next year... just hope it's a sign that they didn't forget about all of us in between the coasts!!

Personally I should think that both Radiohead and RHCP selling out their dates in the state of Texas should be indication enough for PJ that this market is ripe for their pickings... but whatever...

i promise to show eddie an awesome time while he is in this state, and next time I hope he brings back the rest of the crew! ;)

I will be heart broken if EV makes it down south but PJ doesn't...but I will take what I can get. For now....

I hear you but honestly the two EV shows I've seen had more impact than any PJ show has.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

How do you think tickets will go? Do you think lotto or free for all? What about you have to be in that market to get tickets so if you aren't in Texas or bordering states no go. I remember when we had to send in money orders and could only pick 1 show, lol.

The Meyerson is another possibility for Dallas...I think Neil played there a few years back.

They did lotto for ed's 09 shows (i think), but last year's were free for all. I still can't believe Eddie will be playing in Texas :o I was starting to think him/the band would never play here again.

from what I understand, you will not be dissapointed with EV.

My bro is not a huge PJ fan like the rest of us, I've taken him to a few shows and he's gotten into them more and more, but he said the moment when he really started digging the band was after he got to see EV at Massey Hall in Toronto in 07 or 08... whatever it was... him and my good touring buddy went and scalped a couple of tickets... said he wound up with a single 8 rows back and his mind was fucking blown...

he still rubs it in my face that he's gotten to see Ed and I haven't... :D

With all these ticketmaster links popping up and being removed, and with almost a decade of snubs in our history, I need to see an official announcement to 100% believe this. Fingers crossed. Would love to finally see Ed solo and would love even more if the full band would visit soon too.
