Usually PTD doesnt take place until a few weeks after the last show isee, but crazily enough it started taking place before i even saw 6/03/06. the fact that Est Rutherford was going to be my last show for the tour kept playing in my head , so all of this week leading up to the show i was getting real sad. i hate this feeling i am hoping maybe to work something out where i can see a show in pittsburgh or on the west coast. or hopefully theyll wil be back around the north east sometime again before the year is over. even if they arent. i still have hope for 07. if i go by the recurring trend, i have no doubt 07 ill see another show
since 03 i have seen them every year!

In my heart I believe that they will swing back around in the fall sometime.
    They love MSG and Uniondale.....

maybe if we all cross our fingers and say a little prayer......

At least you got to see them. I live in Phoenix and there not even coming here, as of now anyway. I cannot even go to the nearby shows because I will be on vacation on the east coast. Nice! Anyway I have to boots to download and jam to. It's not the same but it will have to do.

Phoenix sucks for outdoor shows in the summer but Glendale Arena has the best sound. I am all in favor of Cricket in the spring, fall, and winter but not summer. They have options besides playing outdoors in the summer. I am thinking they will be here early in '07.

I'll tell ya what's depressing- The band releases a killer album, goes on tour, with no dates in the SOUTH and a few other places. From recent interviews, it seems like we will be a last minute decision. Someone from Tx talked to the merch people in Jersey, and said they were probably heading down here in Feb or early Spring. I saw that posted somewhere, a few days ago, so I am just stated what I read on here.

What helps me with PTD is to plan a trip to another show. For instance i've gone on to ticketbastard and seen than there are some singles for pittsburgh right on the side of the stage. Then i've checked the orbitz and travelocity sites for plane+ hotel packages. After that i mapquested Directions from my house to mellon arena to see how long the drive would be. I am 100 % positive that if i told my wife that i was going to this show the divorce papers would be handed to me the very next day, but it helps to keep hope alive. Then when that show was over and i didnt go i would start to plan the next one to say Melbourne. Its pathetic i know but it staves off depression for a little while.

Planning is not enough for me. I actually went through with the planning to e rutherford 1, and went by myself. I am now trying to figure out how to get to the gorge shows. I got the time off and some money. I just need to find tix. I am not giving up until they leave the states. And the gorge is my last possible chance. Oh my god I know I have a problem. On previous tours I only went to one show. Now that I have had a taste of multiple shows I really can't stop. Is there help out there?
  • i don't want to talk about it

I wish I had gone to the second show. Work got in the way. I was seriously considering calling in stranded in Jersey. I am not sure they would have believed me, but I would seen the show. As much as I love 'em, I am way too responsible to pull something like that.

Luckily I have a grueling work week in Los Angeles this week to get my mind from wandering to all the shows I won't see . . .I still have this stupid gawdawful cold though . . . how annoying! Maybe since I won't stay up for a Pearl Jam show I'll get some good sleep?

It's set in big time!!! There is virtually no conceivable way that I can make any more shows this tour (aside from hitting the lottery!) So the depression has begun. The real question is, when will it end???

  • MSG (crosses fingers).

we met vedder for a second after NJ2, and my bf said "please play the garden". ed said "yeah, ok" and smiled. he thinks we're in. i laugh. there are probably a million "the garden"s...lol. they were even referring to the former fleet center as the garden.

anyway, PTD is hitting me hard today. i'm back at work, with no more planned shows. pittsburgh is on a bad day, i'd only be able to go if i can get a ride, and come home right after the show in time for work on sat (8 hour drive).

i've been here an hour. i should probably leave here and get some work done.

    peace.

I was glad to see someone else is suffering also. I have had mixed feelings the last two days. I've been sad and elated at the same time. I was in the front row and eddie waved at me and blew me a kiss. Every time I think about that I get happy and sad at the same time. It was a great show-Pearl Jam is so great to their fans. It's a shame some people don't appreciate it-it shows when you sell the posters on e-bay. Hopefully they'll come back around again before the end of the year.....
