1. Hootie and The Blowfish - Cracked Rear View
2. Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled his feet??
3. Bart Simpson - Do the Bartman (on cassette)
4. ABBA - greatest hits.
5. Live - Cant remember the name of the album. Wasn't 'Throwing Copper'
I'm not embarrassed to say that I've owned anything I've owned, because I don't feel the need to apologize for my taste to anyone. That, to me, is teen hipster mentality, spun by people who feel the need to fit in by pretending not to fit in. :P
I agree I have a lot of stuff people would consider embarrassing but I still love it. I'm a huge fan of 70s and 80s top 40 pop, aka "light rock". I played the hell out of my parent's Barbra Streisand Guilty record when I was little in fact I still have that record. Lionel Richie, Air Supply, Chicago, Barry Manilow, you name it. If it was played on top 40 radio in the 70s or 80s, I love it. Hair metal too! Motley Crue, Cinderella, Whitesnake, Poison. I don't listen to those albums quite as much as I used to but they still rock!
But I make no apology whatever for liking Bon Jovi. Frankly, give me Jon Bon Jovi any day of the week over Bon Iver...and I don't give a flying shit what Pitchfork says about that choice.
I'm not sure if I have Do the Bartman anymore! Doh! I remember too that there was a Lisa Simpson song on the b-side also!?
The Live album had a black cover and I think had Dolphins Cry and / or Lakini's something?? Not necessarily embarrassed to have a Live album but they just didn't turn out to be the band I thought they might be as my musical taste changed.

That LIve album sounds like Secret Samadhi - it had a black cover and Lakini's Juice was on it.
My top 5 would be:
1. Britny Fox - Britny Fox
2. Britny Fox - Boys In Heat
3. Hootie & The Blowfish - Cracked Rear View
4. House Of Lords - House Of Lords
5. Only Child - Only Child
Britny Fox? What was I thinking?!? I really can't come up with a reason why I bought 2 of their albums...
The one good thing to come out this was that I traded the Hootie cd for a copy of Mudhoney's Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge, possibly the best trade ever!
“Do not postpone happiness”
(Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)
Most people would be embarrassed about the Dio collection I have, but I wear it like a badge of honor.
7/2/06 - Denver, CO
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2
That's right the Live album was Secret Samadhi. Good call.
I often do a cull of CDs every know and again and I don't possess my Live CDs anymore. I did however get a free Best Of with my Rolling Stone subscription a few years back. Best of an avg bunch that month.

I had ALL the 80s hair metal stuff. But that's what I liked at the time. Not embarrassed by it - still throw on some Crue from time to time.
Limp Bizkit - Significant Other
Sugar Ray - 11:59
Presidents of the United States of America - s/t
Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up the Girl
Lifehouse - No Name Face
On a side note, I don't understand the "embarrassment" over Live. I still enjoy listening now. Ed K's solo CD was solid IMO too. Same with Lucy from Candlebox being mentioned. Still love me some Candlebox.

No need for embarrassment needed for that. Not sure it still holds up but it used to be decent all the way through.
Before 7th grade, I was listening to cassettes and records and I just listened to what was given me. Thank GOD my family had pristine music choice. It ranged from The Beatles to AIC to Pearl Jam to Luther Vandross to Fleetwood Mac to James Taylor to Willie Nelson to pretty much anything you can think of. I recall my mom getting pissed my dad bought Jimmy Buffet's Greatest Hits on a road trip once, and he threw it off the side of the highway as we were driving along. To this day we can't even mention his name.
I have the Hanson album and one NSYNC album (I was low key obsessed with JT briefly). These may not seem like horrible crimes, but my only other one may trump all:
*Disclaimer: All 3 offenses happened at the same time. There has to be some psychology behind it.

Is that the fake MTV group? Pretty sure that's Chris Farley's brother on the left.

1) White Lion - Pride
2) Cinderella - Night Songs
3) Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet (In my defense, everyone owned that album)
4) Warrant - Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich
5) Skid Row - Skid Row
God, the 80 rock scene sucked.
