  • I love them. Furr, Destroyer of the Void, and American Goldwing are on my turntable and iPod very often. I'm one of those guys that don't listen to a lot of new music, but these dudes really do it for me.

When I first heard Furr I wasn't too keen on it, but with American Goldwing, my eyes really opened up to this band.

Have you had a chance to see them live? If so, what can you say about the show?

  • I have not. The closest they came on this last tour was about 2 hours away and I was really sick that week. I was really bummed to miss it. It seems like they are a band that are working their asses off so I hope they'll be back soon.

I was kind of the same way with Furr when it came out. I gave it a listen just based on it being on some top album list that year and I thought it was ok, then Destroyer came out and I really liked it a lot so I went back to Furr and liked it even more than I did before. Goldwing just blew me away from the first time I listened to it though.

Fantastic band, heard a few songs from Wild Mountain Nation a while ago and fell in love with their sound. Then didn't listen to them all too frequently until I heard American Goldwing late last year when it was released and fell in love with the band all over again! I wish I got to see their tour double billing with Dawes- quite the line-up!

The only thing that could make this show any better is if it were a show w/ Dawes. That would be perfection.

Try American Goldwing if you haven't already... it really is a great album. I thought it was more accessible too.

I like them a lot. I've only seen them once so far...the double bill with Dawes. I thought Blitzen Trapper did a really fun show and I would see them again.

I finally got to see these guys live a few nights ago.

    Here's my quick review...

Great show, but very little emotion from the band. It kinda seemed like they didn't want to be there. The singer barely even spoke to the audience between songs however one of the other dudes did all the talking. It was like he was the main dude in the band, and maybe he is, I don't know. I love their music but don't really know much about them other than what I listen to.

The show started off kinda slow and the crowd didn't really seem into it, even though they were playing songs I really liked. But then it got going and it really rocked. I would for sure see them again but it was kinda an odd feeling show. Maybe they just had an off night, maybe it was the small crowd, I don't know. I did manage to score a setlist from the stage after the show which is cool.

Hadn't heard of them until last year when I saw Dawes was doing the co-headlining tour with them. Got "American Goldwing" and became obsessed with it. Definitely one of my favorite releases from 2011. Saw the concert in DC at The Black Cat and Dawes blew them out of the water live IMO. Of course I'm a huge Dawes fan, but even at that they weren't that great live that night at least. I would give them another chance though, still had fun at the concert.

It sounds like BT might be one of those bands that has some on/off nights for sure.

I would love to see Dawes. "Nothing Is Wrong" is a great album and I've been enjoying it since I picked it up.

I saw open for Wilco a week ago in Newport RI, the night before the Newport Folk Fest officially started. I had never heard them before. I was impressed. The guitar playing reminded me of Jimmy Page.

The covered "Ramble On" when I saw them and completely nailed it.
