Heading to Cape Cod on Friday and will be staying close to Boston on Saturday, any suggestions for some cool bars? It's my first trip there but it's a quick turn around so no sight seeing etc.. this trip. Just looking for some cool spots where we can throw back a few Saturday night..

    stay away from a little Italian place...it's like a little hole in the wall...they have complimentary dining guests served with your meals...

    you looking for sports bar, dive bar, clubish bar or?

    if you are only in boston one night of your life i would go to faneuil hall. a bar is there for every person. including cheers.

    And when you're done with that scene, go to Bukowski Tavern (50 Dalton) -- the cramped original, not that lofty impostor in Cambridge.

    I second this. Faneuil Hall is AWESOME.

    Black Rose is a cool place. It's in fanial hall. There's also some great pubs right outside fanial towards Boston garden.

    Faneuil Hall is great for an out-of-towner looking for something to do. Just walk around (side streets too) and find a pub that is to your liking. There are lots of places.

    I recommend not going to Cheers. It's a mediocre bar and has nothing to do with the TV show (i.e. you won't recognize it when you walk in)

    And Faneuil Hall is not the location the TV show was based on. The original bar (at the time it was the Bull & Finch Pub, not called Cheers) is on Beacon Street by the corner of Arlington.
