How was it?
I have to admit, this is the least intriguing album I've heard by them. May need to spin it a few more times though. After 3 listens, nothing is jumping out at me like all their other albums. :(
It was really great. They played about 8 of the 10 new songs, and then a mix of the other albums. They have such a catalogue of songs to choose from now! They had a second guitarist on stage for the whole show. I don't think the album is Let Go or Lucky territory for me, but I really do like it. I think the difference is that it's almost all upbeat (and incredibly catchy), but I do miss a Killians Red or See These Bones type song. "Clear Eye Clouded Mind" has to grab you though, right? That and "Looking Through are my favs right now.
Have you heard "The Dulcitone Files" that came with preorders? 5 acoustic cuts of the album songs. They sound great - especially "The Future."
Some videos I took from the show of new songs - Clear Eye Clouded Mind, The Future, and Looking Through.

I'll get to see them again in Boston in April.
I think you're right about the new album - The tempo seems the same throughout the whole thing. But I do need to give it another try. I downloaded the 5 acoustic songs from the new album, but havent listened to them yet. I'm going to burn them today onto the tail end of the album and listen to the whole thing in the car.
Thanks for posting the videos too! you were close!
