How far......
.....in advance does Pearl Jam and their crew know they are touring and where before we do? What got me thinking about this was merchandise (as sub par as it is). Wouldn't there have to be ample notice for shirts and especially poster? Just curious what that gap is between band knowledge and fan knowledge.

Good question, and I would think the same thing as far as printing and manufacturing goes... Until I think back to PJ20 and consider that on Saturday Morning they were stocked with the fucked up hoodies and by Sunday they had the corrected ones.
Now I'm not sure if they just had a few batches of the incorrect ones and just had to pull the correct ones from boxes, or if they had to get them re-printed all quick-like. I would guess that the former is more likely, especially considering where pj20 was held (didn't see any big shirt-printing operations around those cow fields).
All in all... I would have to agree and say that there are people out there who know more than us (other than the band itself) as far as future dates & shows go. Question is, where do we find them and how do we extract this information?0
