Any computer techs out there?

I'm having problems with my Internet. I can't get on it. I have a laptop (windows vista) connected to the e-cord it gets unidentified network and it doesn't connect to my wifi but my wifi picks up on my iPhone. Thought it was the modem got a new one had time Warner come over since it wasn't still working the guy told me that he had to reset the Internet to it's factory setting. How do you do that? Any help?

This did happen to me before, i had to reset my wireless driver, most computers do that automatically when there restarted. I accidentally deleted mine before, thank god computers are idiot proof. It will reinstall itself. Try that and let me know.
