    Tough one. Vikings have the edge in lots of ways in terms of a more egalitarian society, but Romans have better weather and better food.

    WYR live in a beautiful location in a tent or in an unattractive natural location in a beautiful house? (assume both are equally convenient to whatever else you like to do)

    I would need a definition of unattractive natural location. I don't think anything in nature is unattractive(except mosquitoes, hornets and wasps). I prefer certain places over others but they all have a unique beauty all their own.
