Anyone like Snow Patrol/have seen them live? Got tickets to see them with Ed Sheeran at Terminal 5 in NYC.. I like their stuff enough but haven't really spent much time listening to them. Would love to hear thoughts on them!:mrgreen:

I'm a little leary of their new album...sounds too synthy... I hope they play some of their older stuff for you like Chocolate, Spitting Games and It's Beginning to Get to Me

Saw them once when they were opening for U2 in Greece in September 2010 and liked them a lot. Had a great time during their performance. :)

I saw them on their last tour - they were really good. But I have lost interest in them - have no intention on getting the new album. I'm sure you will enjoy the show. :D

Nothing earth-shattering about their sound, but they put out a few solid albums.

I've been listening to their new album for the last few weeks and even though there are a few very good songs there are a few duds IMHO and it's not as good as their previous albums. Apparently they are very good live.

I've really been looking forward to seeing these guys live, but the new album is pretty bad. Can't decide if I want to get fix or not...

I can't imagine they'll play a ton from the new album... They've got a pretty fantastic catalogue...

I've seen Snow Patrol live 4 times over the years - strangely enough in 4 different countries and at 4 very different venues - and they've always put on a great show.

The first time I saw them was at a university show in Wales when Final Straw first came out (there were about 200 people there and Gary hung around in the bar with us after the show), then a club gig in England a few years later, Lollapaooza in 07 (after Chasing Cars went global) and the last time at an arena in Sydney in 07.

I quite like the new album. Sure it's nothing ground breaking but I like the fact they're not being lazy and just trying to redo Run or Chasing Cars again and again.

    Have fun at the show!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, everyone! Sounds like it will be a decent show. My sister LOVES them which is why I even started listening to their stuff, it will be cool to see them live and tell her about it. Maybe she will be inspired to listen to some Pearl Jam in return :D It's at a small venue too (3,000 capacity) so it's gonna be good. Guess they sold out because they just added another show.

They are ok. I like some of their songs (Chasing Cars, Run, Light up This City) Not a band where I would buy the whole album but they are not bad.
    Tres Mts- 3/16/2011
    Eddie Vedder- 7/16/11
    Brad- 4/21/12 (RSD Performance), 4/27/12, 8/10/12
    Flight To Mars- 5/23/12
    RNDM- 11/27/12

PEARL JAM- 12/6/13 I have finally seen Pearl Jam live!

That's like saying "Pearl Jam are ok. I like Alive and Just Breathe"

There's a lot of good stuff on Snow Patrol's albums that's better than just the singles.

I know, I should go and listen to all of their stuff. I'm not saying they are a bad band, they are good. Better then most of the crap on the radio these days.

If I might recommend something for you... Eyes Open is probably my favorite. I can listen to it straight through and then back again. It's rather enjoyable.

I am sooooo happy! I had missed out on tickets (damn NYC, everything sells out in a matter of seconds...) but they must have released some last minute ones.

I love them. My guilty pleasure. Will be taking my 12 year old :)

My favorite album is Final Straw. Also not sure about the new one...

Suziemay, come say hi if you see a mother/child combo :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

I've only heard the singles, but they do nothing for me. Plus I don't like the guy's voice.
