For those not planning on being up front for the Lolla show

I'm working from 9am to 4pm on Sunday and then driving down for the show at Lolla. Should be in Chicago I hope by 630pm. Anybody not planning on being up front wanna try and have a meet up in the middle? Enjoying the show from a little distance away. A nice group of fellow fans would be fun. Your thoughts and if you kinda have the same game plan like myself. Thanks for listening. :)

*Edit The middle I ment hell no not the back. :)

I haven't decided if I am going to try to get close(depends on who goes with me). If not I am game.

    I'll be in the back...probably by a perimeter :) .... I need air!

I've never been to Lolla before so I don't know what to expect or what it's like there....where would everyone be meeting?

Well I'm sure I'll be the last one to show up. So you jokers will have to let me know where the group will be. Either in the back or middle. heh

speaking of being close up...has anyone tried this at Lolla before?

i figure i'll have to get to MMJ real early and just not leave all the way through PJ's set
I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

OK, I'm stoned, so take this for what it's worth :)

You know, if Jammers can actually find a way to get organized enough, it is actually a great idea if there is a sizeable Jammer section formed towards the middle/back of the venue. Some place where it would be easy to claim real estate early on and fill it up with Jammers as they arrive. This would guarantee some at least OK viewing spot and meeting place for those coming later, and a bunch of other benefits.

I'm thinking of printing up a shirt with a few quotes on it for the show. Maybe I'll add this to that!

So far, I'm gonna print (haven't figured out front/back yet)....

    1. PLAY THE SOUTH, DAMN IT!
    2. ICEE dems (with appropriate bold/italics for ICEE)

Yea will hear how cool it was being up close. But will be able to use the bathroom and get a beverage if we want. Middle or back works for me. :)

I've been up front, so I figure let someone else do it, and it is enough of a hassle when there are seats from keeping people from stepping on ya, never mind a situation like this!!!

Even if I didn't have to work and could get there early . I wouldn't want the up close spot. It's just not my cup of tea. Once was enough for me. Being in the middle or kinda back will still be enjoyable I think for this show.

Of course if and when they play Alpine Valley again. Well that's a different story. :D

And to those that will be up close. Have a safe and awesome time. :)

just wondering, can you walk around and watch the show from different vantage points or are you pretty much stuck in the same spot the whole time?

I'm gonna try to get as close as possible but I don't plan on being there from the time the gates open. Thats just crazy talk, and I have other bands to see on Sunday.

flag. you guys need a flag. fellow fans at ACL use flags every year to be able to find their group.

i find them to be annoying, but it works.

someone make a flag and post the picture. walla.
    I miss you hippiemom.

Last year at Lolla it was a rake! There was a big group of people that had a guy with a rake hold it way up in the air. By the end of Kanye West's set the whole crowd was chanting "show the rake! show the rake!"

Dunno how they snuck that rake in!

I really still don't know what to do. KIngs of leon are going to play 4:30 in the same stage, then My morning Jacket then at 8:00 PJ. Its going to be very dificult to stay in the same place from 4:30 til Pj, so still don't know. In the other hand the reason to travel is to see PJ after all so maybe i'll be front row up close. yeahhh!!! will see.. have to wait to that sunday. see ya all there!!

I don't really have anyone to see early on in the day, so I think my sister and I are going to take time getting breakfast and such. I might eat during Lupe Fiasco if I'm hungry, since I don't have much interest in that or Amy Winehouse. I'll probably be up front from before Kings of Leon to Pearl Jam, provided I don't have to pee.

I'll be wearing my Viva La 10 Club shirt, so keep an eye out. My name is Keith, by the way.

the past two days there has been ample room to move around and get pretty darn close to every act. It's how you plan out where you're sitting and for how long. Between acts tons of people leave and you can move up. Maybe not to the front row but pretty darn close. Especially if you WANT to see MMJ. I think we'll try that out.

Also there are little hills on either side of the stage pearl jam is playing on. A bit far away but not too bad and an awesome view of the stage and crowd. OH and it has been PLENTY loud you could be all the way at the back and be rocking out.

I'm wearing my bright red Euro 2007 tour tshirt today so anyone feel free to say hi to me and my wife.
