    3 cases would have been very strange but 11 cases all in the same week is insane.

    I think it COULD be possible (obviously I can't say for sure) that this is psychological. As I read about these young girls coming up with these tics, and it spreading just among the girls, and the doctors saying it wasn't contagious (though I guess you could assume the doctors were lying), I couldn't help but think of some other little bouts of shared hysteria such as the Salem Witch Trials. Not the trials, but the young girls that developed fits and tics (which spread among the other village girls) that brought on the accusations.

    Not necessarily saying they're all faking, or doing so consciously, just that the mind is a strange thing. Maybe the doctors aren't coming right out and saying what's going on because they've yet to find a delicate way of saying this is "bullshit".

    Just a theory. Could be something physically wrong with them, who knows, but it could also be something else.
