John Stamos to reunite with Beach Boys for 50th anniversary tour

The Full House actor, who performed with the legendary band several times in the '80s and '90s, confirmed that he will play a role in the 50-date international jaunt, which is expected to begin in April.

Stamos told TMZ: "Everybody's asking if I'm going to be part of the 50th anniversary tour. My initial [thought] was 'I'll just be there in the audience or if you want me to introduce you guys', but they asked me to be part of the show. I feel very honored."

The Beach Boys have yet to confirm full tour dates, but they are known to be headlining the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which is held from April 27 to May 6.

The group are also planning to record a new studio album and will release a greatest hits compilation this year.

Stamos previously admitted to campaigning for a Beach Boys tribute episode of Glee during his stint on the show in 2010.
