Damn Poets

I have had some of the greatest men
dance wildly
with the bird of madness
perched inside my ribcage.
Their words
are no stranger
to it’s song.
Their verses soar
with my sanity
upon it’s wings,

as I seep endlessly
through the hollows of heaven
with their wine on my lips;
forever a lover
forever a sinner
forever a woman,
passionately stirred
by some of the greatest men
I have ever had,
inside my mind.

(For the likes of Bukowski, Cohen, Oscar Wilde and Rumi, whose voices remind me that I am not alone)
Pepper- I am faith without religion, without bruised knees and pleas for forgiveness...

    For their kingdom
    Stardom
Slides along the edge of man's historical word
Governing the eyes & minds of the bodies looking right back at the madness of man
    Mirrors him
    Historically, pirouetted in the moment

    given the edge
    that's taken off
    from the visceral view
    where we've been we go

    lined out, perching from within
My hands grip the bone bars of what I'm to be free from
And the branches soar by exchanging with me these poets
    The mightiest of men

    pepper,

i know this inside and outside of feminine ribcage
    a bird of madness
    songbirds go and come back

    the ladies in my life
    all rip me apart
    each angelic to me
    to forests
    to everything that has breathed

    never at ease
    nothing ever simple here
    do not and love
    do not and love
her, the dancing beauty only to dandelion seed before the wind
    then i
on seed riding in going deep
    traveling unchartered

we do not need the moon as a guide
but sure is nice when she does
sure is nice when she does
    and she does

    thank you,
