    So perhaps you can help answer this question.. what exactly does have a good looking child have to do with a person's capability to be an elected official?

    The same thing as them being able to pose in a U.S.A.F uniform. It all boils down to surface crap, Image, e.t.c. It's not at all important if the candidate happens to be an idiot. Reagan took care of that problem. Just make sure you have a good speech-writer and a make-up department.
    And if you're so stupid - George W. Bush - that even that doesn't work, then just be sure to spend 46% of your time on vacation away from the limelight.
