    I do not know if this is true, but I heard Bowie is now a recluse due to gaining a lot of weight

    Today is David Bowie's 66th birthday, and to celebrate he's not only announced that he has a new album coming out, but also released a new single.

    The new album, which will be Bowie's 30th studio release, will be called The Next Day and is set to be released in the US on March 12th.

    The first single off the album is "Where Are We Now," which was recorded in New York by longtime collaborator Tony Visconti.

    There's even a video for the song already, which is about Bowie's time in Berlin.

    Bowie hasn't performed live since 2006 and has made few public appearances since then.

    According to a spokesperson, there are no plans for interviews or live dates.
