I cancelled my order for the SG jr

I also sold my 60s Tribute goldtop Les Paul as well.

I then did three things.

I finished the swap to P94s in my SG standard (thus why the SG jr would be redundant to a degree). I really like P94s.

I bought a Precision Bass since Fender was doing the rebate thing and I've wanted a P Bass for a long time.

And finally, the Kijiji gods finally coughed up an Epiphone Casino. I had one years ago and sincerely regretted letting it go and I've been looking ever since. Finally one popped up in Vancouver and the guy was nice enough to ship it to me (one came up locally at the same time but the guy would take over a week to answer an email and I gave up after 3 weeks). It's everything I remembered.

I have a very understanding wife. And a lot of recording to do.

    Well done!
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
  • Kind of expected the tribute to go away. I tried one and everything just seems spongy.

You will not regret the P-bass...

I actually really liked the 60s tribute. The fit and finish on the neck was terrible but overall it was a fun guitar to play. The pickups sounded great and the chambered body was a treat compared to my swiss-cheesed custom which still weighs a ton.

But I really wanted a Casino again. Of course, they're microphonic feedback machines but there is something about it I love.
