Upon this table
I stand,
tracing my
tip-toed swirls
on it’s unpolished
surface,
to music
you could slit your wrists
to.
And I might
but not because
I want to die
or hurt myself
or feel pain
or cause myself harm,
just because
this pattern
I’ve pirouetted,
needs some colour.
