Good point, in these days of playlists you can make your own favourite album, although mine is No Code...or Vitalogy.....or Yield.....or Ten....or Vs....or....(except Backspacer, although I think it has it's good points)

I can't see past Vitalogy. I've never anticipated an album release as much in my life. There needed to be something to draw a line under the early 90's and lift the gloom after Kurt Cobain's passing and I think PJ provided it despite the sombriety of the album. No Code is a close second for me.

I actually anticipated Vs more, because I loved Ten so much, I was in the US when it was released and made the guy with me stop at some shitty wee mall so I could buy it on cassette to play in the rental car, the player didn't work, bastards. ( I may have told that story before!!!!)
It depends how I'm feeling what my favourite album is, I drove to Galway today screaming Vs at the top of my voice, another day it could be Binaural, tonight it's No Code, to me that's part of the beauty of this band.

it really depends on my mood. binaural is my fave (along with all the b-sides, i've created binaural 2), but vitalogy or vs. come second. it changes all the time, though. if i'm going by tours, then its just as difficult. it's a mood thing...this week i'm in a dave a. vs. tour phase, last week it was vitalogy. i have the most shows from the binaural tour, then backspacer.(it WAS a great tour..) looking forward to album #10 & hoping it's more along the lines of binaural or vitalogy.

    Exactly.....
I am always amazed how on any given day, whatever mood suits you, there is a PJ album that fits. I truly enjoy the hell out of all of them...my faves, Yield into Binaural but in no way does it diminish the enjoyment I get from each one. The differences in them is what makes me absolutely love this band. I've got my 23 year old daughter asking for CD's & now her fiance has just watched PJ 20 & was totally impressed & asking me questions (he says I am the coolest Mom-In-Law 8-) to be)...& now my 71 year old Mother wants some Cd's  for her car. Very cool.

if i had to make a decision (like someone is holding a gun at you) i think i would go for "ten" ... it's the album with black, and in the end nothing beats black for me ...

but honestly it's said severeal times ... there are too many "best album"s ;D
How I choose to feel, is how I am

I think you can figure it out by imagining you're going to a show tonight and thinking which songs off of each album you'd kill to hear.

Ten - Once, Black (maybe) - overplayed the album back in the day + everyone in the world owns a copy so it's always the one I reach for last!
Vs. - Go, Animal, Dissident, Small Town
    Vitalogy - Last Exit, Nothingman
No Code - Sometimes, Who You Are, In My Tree, Smile, Off He Goes, Habit, Red Mosquito, Lukin, Present Tense
    Yield - Faithfull, In Hiding
    Binaural- Breakerfall, Sleight Of Hand
Riot Act- Can't Keep, Thumbing My Way
Avocado - Life Wasted, Unemployable, Gone, Comeback
Backspacer - Got Some, Just Breathe, Unthought Known

No Code wins it by an absolute country mile for me as you can see!
    Manchester - Torino - London - Amsterdam - Leeds - Praha

Yep, the one you like the most. However that changes for me daily depending on mood.
