No matter how hard I try, this post is going to sound like an advertisement so let me start by saying that I do not work for Wikipedia and they are not paying me to do this.

I'm a huge fan of Wikipedia. When ever I want basic information on a subject not covered in any reference books I have handy, that's where I go. What used to require a trip to the library (and, yes, I'm still a fan of the library and use it too) or a humongous set of encyclopedias (which I've never owned) is all now more easily accessed by a quick Wikipedia search.

So here in the last few days of the year 2011 I've decided to add Wikipedia to my tithing list. What I have to give may not be huge but hopefully it will help and I certainly know I'll get my money's worth.

Only about 1 out of 500 (that's 0.2 % ) of Wikipedia users make donations to this free service. Just a thought. :D
