Had the good fortune to hear this today for the first time in years, thought some of you might enjoy it also.

I went to his 70th birthday celebration here in Austin a couple months ago. Great night.

Only just seen this, thanks for posting, the only stuff of his I have is a few songs on the Together At The Bluebird live album, where he shares the stage with Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle.

What album would be a good place to start? Is there a good live album that would serve as a retrospective?

Keepers is a good live one. He also just put out a new live record called Songs and Stories.

Keepers is a cracking live album, studiowise I actually like his newer stuff, Somedays the Song Writes You and Workbench Songs are brilliant, as is Dublin Blues. They're all good though.
