to and fro your big home
take your shopping bags
your five christmas trees all a shine of falsities
within the no
of lovers kissing
and childen without sleds and no snowman standing there

this
where birdseed does not seed
this
where you steal with me

i have loved inside of you
and we have tasted our own
yours being all a bare body needing
it was in your eyes and stomach
all the years of money and fake smiles

i go home now
or you are to leave soon
tattered my wardrobe
i wish i could not but i have too
so i am at least warm not a hero
and you so very beautiful to me
buy my coffee

and when lights from your estate's windows
shine across the darkness
of what will be floral gardens in lush this spring
the lawn, the laughter...
to me will sound false again
and again
when crumbling cement makes me trip
as i wait around the corner
we both crying

this when the door slams
my kitchen i don't even have
and going there is empty
and so goes my hunger for you on strong
and we have only tonight until next season he will be home
for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
