The BEST of all the PJ dvds. That 2000 tour was just so special, and TB captures it perfectly. Highlights that always pop in my head:
Eddie putting up the 'devil horns' during Evacuation at the line "...to feign reluctance."
The girl "signing" Given to Fly
The kid on Ed's shoulder's during RITFW
Mike all bundled up during the coldest pj show, "Ice Bowl" at Alpine
The goosebumps I get everytime I pop this in and hear Long Road.
Ed saying in Seattle, "It's the best life we've ever lived..."

It would be great to do a followup with that kid. See what he's up to now. He was about 9 or so in the video, so i'm guessing he's about 20 or so by now.

I had heard a rumor it was some sort of "Make a Wish" thing, but that's unverified.

I seem to remember alot of us on the board thinking that, but then somebody that knew the kid came around and kinda took offense and set the record straight. It's been a long time though. Those were Synergy days.

Have to agree that TB2k is fantabulous. Favorite part may be the montages, with the Band one being my favorite.

    Ed jump in Dublin
    NothingMan
Long Road, and you can see the breeze blowing across the stage and you can almost feel it
Matt-cam(they need a Mike cam for any future releases)
    Halloween costumes

This is the band I fell in love with.

I love Touring Band, but I was a little disappointed that the Chicago show wasn't included. Does anyone know why some shows on the tour weren't included on the DVD?

Right, but some cities got like 3 or 4 songs on the DVD while others got none. I dunno, it might have been nice to have 28 songs from 28 different shows.

I've showed that version of "Given to Fly" to several friends who don't even like Pearl Jam (I know, I have friends that don't like PJ, I know!)...and all of them love that. One even said "I think I'm about to cry"...it really is a beautiful moment. The "Long Road" and "Daughter/It's OK" versions on there are also terrific.

I watched it again myself last week.

    Definitely an awesome DVD.
Don't come closer or I'll have to go
  • Daughter/It's OK is the highlight of the show. I'm also partial to Dissident, but only cause I was at that show. :geek:

I have a friend that told me this past summer that she wanted to get more into PJ and TB2000 was the first thing I sent her. :)

The 'Its OK' tag is great. Wonder who got that sheet of paper?!

I think there are 31 songs in total from the DVD? Seattle seems to feature the most. (could be wrong).

Anyway its the best DVD they have released. Would love to see a Touring Band 2012 :D
