I'm sorry you had such hard time with the interpreters. We talked to a couple of them, hence how I got a look at the lyrics. And they seemed like nice people and seemed to be doing a great job. Some a better job than others. I was actually somewhat shocked at their presence. I couldn't imagine how many deaf people would be at a rock concert/festival. They did say that the deaf people were sitting by the sound board, where the handicapped seating was.
I really have only read bits and pieces of your problem and I don't want to extend it any more here. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Again the ppl we spoke with seemed like nice people who were doing the best job they could do.

They are very heavily involved with the deaf community and they know better to MAKE SURE the area is FIRST set up for the deaf before doing their jobs. This was their second year of doing this. No excuses.
I stood all day in the heat waiting for the problems to be solved and nothing was fixed.
Oh well, I'm filing complaints and I want to volunteer there next year to take control of the interpreters and making sure things are done right.

Dont get me wrong....the Vic was amazing...unforgettable but Hawaii is just magic in and of itself...the guys were so happy...the vibe was intimate...and they sounded incredible...I dont think they wanted to stop playing!!!!
