There was a mini-tornado that hit out of Melbourne, and during the evening there were multiple tornado warnings issued on the bureau of meteorology website.
My story:
I was in the suburb of Taylors Lakes (one of the worst hit) at my sisters place and a tennis ball sized hail stone smashed into my windscreen, how it did not break is a miracle. Only a few hundred meters down the road cars had multiple dent marks and shattered windscreens.
Many houses have holes in the roofs and broken fencing and car ports.
I have never seen anything like this nor want to again.
We were inside and heard a loud thud, there was no rain, so we thought it's the neighbours.
Then we heard another one, and another. One caused me to jump it was that loud.
I was standing watching my car hoping it would not get hit then the windscreen got hit, as soon as the hail stopped I drove home and covered my car as best I could.
