Anyone hear of them? My friend played a song of theirs who is a MMJ fan and I was really impressed. Its on iTunes for anyone interested. Good luck finding a torrent though. Anyway, every song sounds like it was spawned from a jam, or simply is a jam. The opening track, Skipping Song, and Two Shotguns are my favs so far. In comparison to MMJ, they're really not too much alike. Alot of the songs are much heavier than MMJ, and some are just nice spacey jams. You do atleast get that reverbed vocal effect from Jim, but the vox on the album are pretty low. You really cant hear what hes singing on some songs. You could tell they recorded this album with a really low budget, but I kinda like that.
TL;DR I recommend it.
heres the opening song... good stuff

I have the Hotel Roy stuff and it's pretty solid as well, and easier to find. From your description of Mont....they're probably pretty similar.
I'm not usually too into this stuff, but it's cool to see how JJ has honed his sound in over the course of his career.
not that this is a pissing contest, but that hotel roy stuff is actually way harder to find. i had a copy of it a while back but didn't care too much for it and gave it away. but you really can't find it anywhere. at least not the last time i checked.
as for the mont de sundua album, it is kinda cool. i like a few songs, but it's definitely not something i've ever felt like going back and listening to since i bought it. but anyway, this album was actually re-released 2 or 3 years ago. you can pretty much buy it anywhere. i figure most mmj fans have this album.
