    I'm not in Chch but have talked to friends down there & they're all very rattled, AGAIN! A year of this they've had to deal with now. :cry:

    Just talked to a good friend of mine down there, she said the whole of Eastern(?) suburbs are under liquefaction again, 15,000 people are without power again, so many more houses are going to be red-stickered(can't be repaired). Terrible. :cry:

    exactly what time did this quake happen? how long did it go for? where is tinkbell and ziggy and everyone else from over there? are there deaths?

    Last night at around midnight eastern US time there were 65 reported deaths....not sure how many now.

    The 65 deaths were from the quake in February not the most recent one.

    As far as I know the 1st one was at about 5pm NZT then the next one at 6pm'ish yesterday 23/12.

    Ziggy lives in Austalia peeps, not NZ so I'm sure she's fine. Tinkerbell too is other end of NZ from quakes. Doompony is about middle of NZ so still hour or so flight for Chch. It was felt in Lower Hutt near her hough apparently. I don't know of any 10c peeps in Chch I don't think.

    2 minutes silence just held throughout NZ to commemorate the earthquake that struck at 12.51pm NZT 1 year ago today & remember the 185 people who died.
