O Canada! We're kicking off the year with you. Ed K's 2012 Cross-Canadian tour will bring the heat (and the ROCK!) to your winter. See you soon!

Thu-Feb-09 - Better Than Freds - Grande Prairie, AB
Fri-Feb-10 - Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton, AB
Sat-Feb-11 - The Kooler - Lloydminster, AB
Mon-Feb-13 - Esplanade - Medicine Hat, MB
Tue-Feb-14 - Odeon Event Centre - Saskatoon, SK
Wed-Feb-15 - Cowboys - Winnipeg, MB

I'm not really into his godly message nowadays, but he'd probably be pretty good live.

Well, he's always been preachy, it just didn't used to be Christianity. I saw Live around the time of Secret Samadhi and he talked the audiences ear off about Buddhism.

I'll always equally remember him as the water in Fight Club and as an accomplished singer.

I'll always remember him as the guy who looks like Andre Agassi.

In all seriousness though, Throwing Copper is one of my all-time favorite albums. And they pulled off a pretty decent live show as well (saw them twice at the Werchter festival in 2000, second show they were actually replacing PJ after the Roskilde tragedy).

wow, I've never noticed that resemblance till now. I used to enjoy Live but grew out of that phase kinda quick, I dunno why.

I saw Ed twice last year. The second time was during a blizzard at a ski lodge in Stowe, VT. Only about 50 people there due to the storm. Ed came out after the show and had a few drinks with the small crowd. He signed the set list for me and was very socialable. As far as the show, he sounded great and wasn't preachy at all.

I didn't think he was like that. Hmmmm......might have to rethink.

He needs to keep his shirt on.
  • I love Live, but cant help but feel a little animosity toward Ed after what happened to the band. Totally fucked over his friends since high school and wont even refer to them by name when asked about them. Such a waste of insane talent.

I highly doubt anyone outside of their inner circle knows what happened. saying he fucked them over is a bit presumptuous, don't you think? it's entirely POSSIBLE he did, but you only have their side of it.

  • Well everything I have read in the past few years certainly doesn't tell me that the other members of the band are fabricating any stories. Lets be honest, the members of Live are better off with Ed than without him. So what would they gain by sabotaging their own careers by making up a story about the bands contracts? Well see what happens in the pending lawsuit.
  • they are the ones talking about it non stop. he, as far as I know, has remained mum on the subject. when someone refuses to resort to public mud slinging and has clearly moved on, I tend to go with that person. maybe they are bitter that he left/they kicked him out and he didn't seem to give a shit.

and I read their email about that contract nonsense, and maybe it is true. if so, who cares? there's obviously another side of it that we don't know.
